Welcoming more e-bikes as we celebrate 7 years of bikeshare!

07/18/2019

With trends proving that the introduction of e-bikes has driven more ridership, Bike Chattanooga is adding more e-bikes to the bikeshare fleet. Last summer, we celebrated our 6th birthday and piloted e-bikes for the first time. Well, go big or go home, because we are ringing in year 7 with even more e-bikes, a celebration and much more!

Bike Chattanooga’s updated fleet totals 55 e-bikes alongside 345 pedal bikes!

Ridership continues to be strong with changing patterns with a variety of bikes available for use. Since the first e-bike hit the streets last summer, ridership has offset over 3,900 lbs of carbon offset in this short time.

Download the CycleFinder app to check real-time bike availability (both pedal and e-bikes), station locations and to purchase a pass to get riding.

On average, e-bikes are seeing more trips per day than pedal bikes
