You may be wondering, what is GreenTrips? GreenTrips wants to help Chattanoogans make the community reduce traffic and air pollution by taking sustainable trips – and earning free rewards in the process! For every eligible trip you take, you can earn points to redeem for restaurant coupons, retailer discounts and tickets to shows and attractions – and it’s free to join! GreenTrips is a program designed by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency that encourages our community to take more sustainable trips through biking, walking, carpooling, public transportation, and working from home to reduce traffic and pollution. All you have to do is Sign up and log your biking, walking, carpooling, public transportation trips, or trips you avoid by working from home to earn points. Join the other nearly 3,000 members who have taken over 200,000 greener trips; download the app on Apple or Android and start logging your trips today. Every Trip Counts!

Don’t own a bike or want the convenience of bike share? Since the pandemic hit, Bike Chattanooga has seen a 2x increase in annual membership sign ups in May and June alone, over the first four months of 2020 and welcomed 55% more net new users to the system. Ridership is trending in the same upward direction as more and more people are seeking the outdoors for entertainment and a variety of ways to commute around the city. Bike shops can barely keep bikes in stock due to the uptake in bicycle sales. Luckily, Bike Chattanooga has 400 bikes spread throughout 42 stations available for YOU to ride. Best part is, we take care of all the maintenance and upkeep for you!

Why should you ditch the car and take Bike Chattanooga instead?

  • Enjoy commuting freedom
  • It’s a greener and healthier commuter option
  • It’s faster than traffic
  • It’s cheaper than maintaining your own wheels
  • What a great way to get outside and move
  • And last but not least…It’s FUN

Need to run errands? Hop on a bike instead of jumping in the car and enjoy some fresh air as you pedal through town. Don’t forget to log your trip to get those GreenTrips points. For those that are working from home, you are earning GreenTrips points right now. Earning points is easy, just replace a trip you would normally take by driving alone with a bike ride or another GreenTrips option to earn free rewards.

Are you convinced yet? Try Bike Chattanooga with a short term pass or sign up for an annual membership and access bike share 24/7, 365 for less than 15¢ a day! Enjoy unlimited 60-minute station to station trips while your pass is active – overage fees apply to trips longer than 60 minutes.
